Neuroscience Antibodies

Neuroscience is a multidisciplinary field encompassing neurobiology, cell and molecular biology, physiology, and behavioral neuroscience/biopsychology. Research in neuroscience also overlaps with other fields including aging, oncology, and immunology.

Antibodies are used in neuroscience research to image cells of the brain including neurons and microglia. Immunoassays are used to identify and characterize biomarkers for a variety of neurological disorders and diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, traumatic brain injuries, and rare genetic diseases. This knowledge is also useful towards developing new treatments for these conditions.

Our robust portfolio of antibodies for neuroscience applications includes tools for IHC/IF/ICC, ISH, ELISA, Western blotting, flow cytometry, and other immunoassays commonly used in neuroscience research. All of our antibodies are manufactured and validated in-house.

Kansl1 haploinsufficiency impairs autophagosome-lysosome fusion and links autophagic dysfunction with Koolen-de Vries syndrome in mice

A recent study shows a link between autophagy and a rare genetic disorder, Koolen-de Vries syndrome, caused by loss of KANSL1. An FDA-approved drug, 13-cis retinoic acid, was able to rescue autophagy in the absence of KANSL1.
