Production Procedures
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to ADAMTS13 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A301-003A maps to a region between residue 1377 and the C-terminus (residue 1427) of human ADAM (a disintegrin-like and metalloprotease) metallopeptidase with thrombospondin type 1 motif, 13 using the numbering given in entry NP_620594.1 (GeneID 11093).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

USA

Additional Product Information

ADAMTS13 is part of the ADAMTS (a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motif) protein family that is responsible for cleaving von Willebrand Factor (vWF). ADAMTS13 is synthesized in the liver and secreted to the plasma. A deficiency of the ADAMTS13 protease activity results in unusually larger multimers of vWF and is associated with thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura.
