The epitope recognized by A303-942A maps to a region between residue 873 to 923 of human p30 DBC Protein using the numbering given in entry NP_066997.3 (GeneID 57805).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to DBC1/p30 DBC immobilized on solid support.

The DBC1 (Deleted in Breast Cancer Gene 1 protein) gene is located in a region frequently deleted in breast cancers. In its uncleaved form, DBC1 is localized to the nucleus. Upon cleavage by caspase activity, DBC1 becomes localized to the cytoplasm and functions to promote apoptosis. DBC1 has also been found to bind directly to the estrogen receptor alpha (ERalpha) hormone binding domain to modulate ERalpha expression and mediate hormone-independent breast cancer cell survival.

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
