Rabbit anti-53BP1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-272A maps to a region between residues 350 and 400 of human tumor protein p53 binding protein 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_005648.1 (GeneID 7158).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to 53BP1 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-272A-T maps to a region between residues 350 and 400 of human tumor protein p53 binding protein 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_005648.1 (GeneID 7158).
Additional Product Information
53BP1 (p53 Binding Protein 1) is an early participant in the cellular response to DNA double-strand breaks. 53BP1 functions in a redundant role in phosphorylation of the downstream checkpoint effector proteins Brca1 and Chk2 but was required for the formation of Brca1 foci in a hierarchical branched pathway for the recruitment of repair and signaling proteins to sites of DNA damage.
Alternate Names
53BP1; p202; p53-binding protein 1; p53BP1; TDRD30; TP53-binding protein 1; tumor protein 53-binding protein, 1; tumor suppressor p53-binding protein 1
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
