Rabbit anti-ACINUS/ACN1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-999A maps to a region between residue 1291 and the C-terminus (residue 1341) of human apoptotic chromatin condensation inducer 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_055792.1 (GeneID 22985).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to ACINUS/ACN1 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-999A-T maps to a region between residue 1291 and the C-terminus (residue 1341) of human apoptotic chromatin condensation inducer 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_055792.1 (GeneID 22985).
Additional Product Information
Acinus (Apoptotic Chromatin Condensation Inducer of the Nucleus) has been demonstrated to play a dual role in apoptosis and mRNA splicing. A proteolytic fragment of acinus generated by caspase cleavage appears to mediate chromatin condensation and DNA fragmentation. Acinus is also part of the ASAP (apoptosis and splicing-associated protein) complex that is deposited at exon-exon junctions during RNA splicing. In this complex acinus may be involved in pre-mRNA splicing.
Alternate Names
ACINUS; ACN; apoptotic chromatin condensation inducer in the nucleus; fSAP152; functional spliceosome-associated protein 152
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
