Rabbit anti-Alpha-4 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-470A-T maps to a region between residues 200 and 250 of human Protein Phosphatase 2A, regulatory subunit alpha-4 (Immunoglobulin binding protein 1) using the numbering given in SwissProt entry P78318 (GeneID 3476).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Alpha-4 (IGBP1) immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
Alpha-4 is involved in the rapamycin sensitive mTOR pathway through its association with the PP2Ac phosphatase. Alpha-4 may regulate PP2Ac activity for the cell cycle progression of lymphocytes. Alpha-4 is also associated to surface IgM receptors and is involved in B-cell receptor mediated signal transduction.
Alternate Names
ALPHA-4; B cell signal transduction molecule alpha 4; bA351K23.1 (immunoglobulin binding protein 1 (CD79A) ); B-cell signal transduction molecule alpha 4; CD79a-binding protein 1; IBP1; immunoglobulin (CD79A) binding protein 1; immunoglobulin-binding protein 1; protein alpha-4; protein phosphatase 2/4/6 regulatory subunit; protein phosphatase 2A, regulatory subunit alpha-4; renal carcinoma antigen NY-REN-16
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
