Rabbit anti-ATXN10/SCA10 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A301-053A-T maps to a region between residue 1 and 50 of human Ataxin 10 (spinocerebellar ataxia 10) using the numbering given in entry NP_037368.1 (GeneID 25814).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to ATXN10/SCA10 immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
Pentanucleotide repeat expansions in the ATXN10/SCA10 gene have been linked to spinocerebellar ataxia type 10, a disorder that is characterized by gait ataxia, cognitive development, and seizures. ATXN10/SCA10 is an evolutionarily conserved protein whose function has not been identified. It is proposed that the repeats in ATXN10/SCA10 may form unusual RNA hairpin structures that result in toxic RNA that may have biological effects such as sequestering of proteins, activation of enzymes, and deregulation of gene expression via the RNA interference pathway.
Alternate Names
ataxin-10; brain protein E46 homolog; E46L; HUMEEP; SCA10; spinocerebellar ataxia type 10 protein
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
