Production Procedures
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to human BID immobilized on solid support. . The epitope recognized by A300-168A-T maps to a region between residues 120 and 180 of human BH3 interacting domain death agonist using the numbering given in entry NP_932070.1 (GeneID 637). The epitope is found in isoforms 1, 2, and 3 of human BID.

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

BID (BH3-interacting domain death agonist) can mediate both apoptotic and pro-survival signals in response to DNA damage. BID is phosphorylated by ATM in response to DNA damage and may play a role in the cell’s decision of whether to live or die based on the extent of damage.

Alternate Names

apoptic death agonist; BH3 interacting domain death agonist Si6 isoform; BH3-interacting domain death agonist; BID; BID isoform ES(1b); BID isoform L(2); BID isoform Si6; desmocollin type 4; FP497; Human BID coding sequence; p22 BID

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
