Rabbit anti-BRCC36 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A302-517A maps to a region between residue 266 and 316 of human BRCA1/BRCA2-containing complex subunit 36 using the numbering given in entry NP_077308.1 (GeneID 79184).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to BRCC36 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A302-517A-T maps to a region between residue 266 and 316 of human BRCA1/BRCA2-containing complex subunit 36 using the numbering given in entry NP_077308.1 (GeneID 79184).
Additional Product Information
BRCA1/BRCA2-containing complex subunit 36 (BRCC36) is a metalloprotease that specifically cleaves 'Lys-63'-linked polyubiquitin chains. BRCC36 is a component of the BRCA1-A complex, a complex that specifically recognizes 'Lys-63'-linked ubiquitinated histones H2A and H2AX at DNA lesions sites and leads to targeting of the BRCA1-BARD1 heterodimer to sites of DNA damage at double-strand breaks (DSBs). In the BRCA1-A complex, BRCC36 specifically removes 'Lys-63'-linked ubiquitin on histones H2A and H2AX, antagonizing the RNF8-dependent ubiquitination at double-strand breaks (DSBs) [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P46736].
Alternate Names

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
