Rabbit anti-Brn-2 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A303-583A maps to a region between residue 393 and 443 of human Brain-specific Homeobox/POU Domain Protein 2 using the numbering given in entry NP_005595.2 (GeneID 5454).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Brn-2 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A303-583A-T maps to a region between residue 393 and 443 of human Brain-specific Homeobox/POU Domain Protein 2 using the numbering given in entry NP_005595.2 (GeneID 5454).
Additional Product Information
Brain-specific homeobox/POU domain protein 2, (Brn-2) is a transcription factor that binds preferentially to the recognition sequence which consists of two distinct half-sites, ('GCAT') and ('TAAT'), separated by a nonconserved spacer region of 0, 2, or 3 nucleotides. Brn-2 positively regulates the genes under the control of corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) and CRH II promoters (by similarity) [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/ P20265].
Alternate Names

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
