Rabbit anti-BTF Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-608A maps to a region between residues 150 and 200 of human BCL2-Associated Transcription Factor 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_055554.1 (GeneID 9774).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to BTF immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-608A-T maps to a region between residues 150 and 200 of human BCL2-Associated Transcription Factor 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_055554.1 (GeneID 9774).
Additional Product Information
BTF is a transcriptional repressor that interacts with Bcl-2 related proteins to promote apoptosis. BTF has also been found to interact with emerin, a nuclear protein implicated in the muscle wasting disease Emery-Dreifuss muscular dystrophy.
Alternate Names
bcl-2-associated transcription factor 1; BCLAF1 and THRAP3 family member 1; bK211L9.1; BTF
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
