Production Procedures
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Calnexin immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A303-694A maps to a region between residue 1 and 50 of human Calnexin using the numbering given in entry NP_001737.1 (GeneID 821).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Calnexin immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A303-694A-T maps to a region between residue 1 and 50 of human Calnexin using the numbering given in entry NP_001737.1 (GeneID 821).

Additional Product Information

Calnexin is a molecular chaperone. It is a calcium-binding, endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-associated protein that interacts transiently with newly synthesized N-linked glycoproteins, facilitating protein folding and assembly. Calnexin may also play a central role in the quality control of protein folding by retaining incorrectly folded protein subunits within the ER for degradation [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 821)].

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
