Rabbit anti-CAP-H Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-603A maps to a region between residue 700 and the C-terminus (residue 741) of human Chromosome Associated Protein H (Barren homolog BRRN1) using the numbering given in entry NP_056156.2 (GeneID 23397).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to CAP-H immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-603A-T maps to a region between residue 700 and the C-terminus (residue 741) of human Chromosome Associated Protein H (Barren homolog BRRN1) using the numbering given in entry NP_056156.2 (GeneID 23397).
Additional Product Information
CAP-H is a subunit of the heteropentameric condensin I complex. Condensin participates in the condensation of chromosomes during cell division by facilitating positive DNA supercoiling and knotting by topoisomerase I and II and proper segregation of sister chromatids. CAP-H is a non-SMC regulatory subunit of the condensin complex that may have an important role in condensin’s ability to maintain structural integrity of centromeric heterochromatin during mitosis.
Alternate Names
barren homolog 1; Barren homolog protein 1; BRRN1; CAPH; CAP-H; chromosome-associated protein H; condensin complex subunit 2; hCAP-H; MCPH23; Non-SMC condensin I complex subunit H; XCAP-H homolog
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
