Rabbit anti-CDC20 Antibody, Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A301-180A-T maps to a region between residue 449 and 499 of human cell division cycle 20 using the numbering given in entry NP_001246.2 (GeneID 991). Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to CDC20 immobilized on solid support.

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Additional Product Information
CDC20 is a WD repeat containing cell cycle-regulator that binds to and activates the ubiquitin-ligase activity of the APC/c (anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome). APC/c ubiquitinating activity is responsible for the degradation of securin and cyclin B that prompts the onset of anaphase and exit from mitosis. CDC20 has also been reported to form a complex with histone deacetylases and can function as a transcriptional repressor involved in cell cycle arrest. As a regulator of APC/c activity, CDC20 plays a key role in the spindle-assembly checkpoint.
Alternate Names

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
