Rabbit anti-CHCHD4 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A305-810A maps to a region between residue 92 and 142 of human Mitochondrial intermembrane space import and assembly protein 40 using the numbering given in entry Q8N4Q1.1 (GeneID 131474).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to CHCHD4 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A305-810A-T maps to a region between residue 92 and 142 of human Mitochondrial intermembrane space import and assembly protein 40 using the numbering given in entry Q8N4Q1.1 (GeneID 131474).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Additional Product Information
CHCHD4 functions as chaperone and catalyzes the formation of disulfide bonds in substrate proteins, such as COX17, COX19 and MICU1. Required for the import and folding of small cysteine-containing proteins (small Tim) in the mitochondrial intermembrane space (IMS). Precursor proteins to be imported into the IMS are translocated in their reduced form into the mitochondria. The oxidized form of CHCHD4/MIA40 forms a transient intermolecular disulfide bridge with the reduced precursor protein, resulting in oxidation of the precursor protein that now contains an intramolecular disulfide bond and is able to undergo folding in the IMS. Reduced CHCHD4/MIA40 is then reoxidized by GFER/ERV1 via a disulfide relay system. Mediates formation of disulfide bond in MICU1 in the IMS, promoting formation of the MICU1-MICU2 heterodimer that regulates mitochondrial calcium uptake. Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
