Additional Product Information

CPSF30/CPSF4 (cleavage and polyadenylation specific factor 4, 30 kDa subunit) is a subunit of the cleavage and polyadenylation specificity factor (CPSF) involved in mammalian mRNA 3’-end processing. CPSF, along with CstF (cleavage and stimulation factor), is critical for the recognition of cis-acting sequence elements on the pre-mRNA that dictate the site of cleavage and subsequent polyadenylation. CPSF exists as a complex of four proteins that includes CPSF160/CPSF1, CPSF100/CPSF2, CPSF73/CPSF3, and CPSF30/CPSF4. Studies of the Arabidopsis CPSF30/CPSF4 ortholog have revealed that CPSF30/CPSF4 may function as a processing endonuclease and interacts with Fip1, an integral subunit of CPSF.

Alternate Names

cleavage and polyadenylation specific factor 4, 30kDa; cleavage and polyadenylation specificity factor 30 kDa subunit; cleavage and polyadenylation specificity factor subunit 4; CPSF 30 kDa subunit; CPSF30; NAR; NEB1; NEB-1; no arches homolog; no arches-like zinc finger protein; NS1 effector domain-binding protein 1

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
