Rabbit anti-DDX46 IHC Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by IHC-00238 maps to a region between residue 981 and the C-terminus (residue 1031) of human DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) box polypeptide 46 using the numbering given in entry NP_055644.2 (GeneID 9879).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to DDX46 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by IHC-00238-T maps to a region between residue 981 and the C-terminus (residue 1031) of human DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) box polypeptide 46 using the numbering given in entry NP_055644.2 (GeneID 9879).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Additional Product Information
DDX46 is a member of the DEAD box family of proteins that possesses several conserved motifs which include the highly conserved DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) amino acid sequence motif. The major activity of DEAD box proteins is to function as ATP-dependent RNA helicases. As helicases, DEAD proteins play an important role in all aspects of RNA metabolism and function which include pre-mRNA splicing, RNA synthesis, RNA degradation, RNA export, RNA translation, RNA secondary structure formation, ribosome biogenesis, and the assembly of RNP complexes. DDX46 is a component of the 17S U2 snRNP complex and plays and important role in pre-mRNA splicing.
Alternate Names
DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) box polypeptide 46; DEAD box protein 46; probable ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX46; Prp5; PRP5 homolog; Prp5-like DEAD-box protein; PRPF5; RNA helicase
Applications
Epitope exposure is recommended.
Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.
Likely to work with frozen sections.
In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
