Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A303-054A maps to a region between residue 549 and 599 of human DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) Box Polypeptide 52 using the numbering given in entry NP_008941.2 (GeneID 11056).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Additional Product Information
DDX52 is a member of the DEAD box family of proteins that possesses several conserved motifs which include the highly conserved DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) amino acid sequence motif. The major activity of DEAD box proteins is to function as ATP-dependent RNA helicases. As helicases, DEAD proteins play an important role in all aspects of RNA metabolism and function which include pre-mRNA splicing, RNA synthesis, RNA degradation, RNA export, RNA translation, RNA secondary structure formation, ribosome biogenesis, and the assembly of RNP complexes.
Alternate Names
ATP-dependent RNA helicase ROK1-like; DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) box polypeptide 52; DEAD box protein 52; DEAD-box helicase 52; HUSSY19; probable ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX52; ROK1
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
