Rabbit anti-DGCR8 IHC Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by IHC-00688 maps to a region between residue 1 and 50 of human DiGeorge syndrome critical region gene 8 using the numbering given in entry NP_073557.3 (GeneID 54487).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to DGCR8 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by IHC-00688-T maps to a region between residue 1 and 50 of human DiGeorge syndrome critical region gene 8 using the numbering given in entry NP_073557.3 (GeneID 54487).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Additional Product Information
DiGeorge syndrome critical region 8 (DGCR8) is a component of the microprocessor complex that acts as a RNA- and heme-binding protein and is involved in the initial step of microRNA (miRNA) biogenesis. DGCR8 functions as a molecular anchor necessary for the recognition of pri-miRNA at dsRNA-ssRNA junctions. It directs RNASEN/DROSHA to cleave 11 bp away from the junction to release hairpin-shaped pre-miRNAs that are subsequently cut by the cytoplasmic DICER to generate mature miRNAs [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q8WYQ5].
