The epitope recognized by A302-980A-T maps to a region between residue 1 and 50 of human Eukaryotic Translation Initiation Factor 4A3 using the numbering given in entry NP_055555.1 (GeneID 9775).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Eukaryotic initiation factor 4A-III is a member of the DEAD box family of proteins that possesses several conserved motifs which include the highly conserved DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) amino acid sequence motif. The major activity of DEAD box proteins is to function as ATP-dependent RNA helicases. eIF4AIII is an ATP-dependent helicase and a component of a splicing-dependent multiprotein exon junction complex (EJC) deposited at splice junction on mRNAs.

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
