Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A301-745A maps to a region between residue 450 and 500 of human eukaryotic translation initiation factor 5B using the numbering given in entry NP_056988.3 (GeneID 9669).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to eIF5B/IF2 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A301-745A-T maps to a region between residue 450 and 500 of human eukaryotic translation initiation factor 5B using the numbering given in entry NP_056988.3 (GeneID 9669).
Additional Product Information
Eukaryotic initiation factor 5 subunit B (eIF5B) is the eukaryotic ortholog of the bacterial IF2 initiation factor. It is one of two essential GTPases required for translation initiation. eIF5B plays a role in facilitiating 60S and 40S ribosomal subunit joining to form the 80S ribosome in the final step of translation.
Alternate Names
eIF-5B; eukaryotic translation initiation factor 5B; IF2; translation initiation factor IF2; translation initiation factor IF-2
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
