Production Procedures
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to EML4 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00568 maps to a region between residue 150 and 200 of human echinoderm microtubule associated protein like 4 using the numbering given in entry NP_061936.2 (GeneID 27436).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

Echinoderm microtubule associated protein like 4 (EML4) has been identified as part of a gene fusion with the kinase domain of the anaplastic lymphoma receptor tyrosine kinase (ALK) in non-small cell lung cancer. EML4 associates with in vitro polymerized microtubules. In the cell, phosphorylated EML4 associates with the mitotic spindle and is essential for proliferation and microtubule network formation.

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with tris-EDTA pH9.0 buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
