Rabbit anti-ERK1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A302-060A maps to a region between residue 329 and 379 of human extracellular signal-related kinase 1 (mitogen-activated protein kinase 3) using the numbering given in entry NP_002737.2 (GeneID 5595).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to ERK1 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A302-060A-T maps to a region between residue 329 and 379 of human extracellular signal-related kinase 1 (mitogen-activated protein kinase 3) using the numbering given in entry NP_002737.2 (GeneID 5595).
Additional Product Information
Extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1 (ERK1/p44), also known as mitogen-activated protein kinase 3 (MAPK3), and extracellular signal-regulated kinase 2 (ERK2/p42), also known as mitogen-activated protein kinase 1 (MAPK1), are part of a signal transduction pathway that begins with the small GTPase Ras and continues through a cascade of protein kinases that include Raf and MEK. Activation of this signaling pathway influences many cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation and survival. ERK1 is very similar in sequence to ERK2/p42 and the activities of both ERK1 and ERK2 are usually considered together as total ERK activity. More recent evidence has shown that ERK1 and ERK2 are not functionally redundant and may have very different and specific roles.

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
