Rabbit anti-Fen1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-255A maps to a region between residues 75 and 125 of human Flap Structure Endonuclease 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_004102.1 (GeneID 2237).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Fen1 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-255A-T maps to a region between residues 75 and 125 of human Flap Structure Endonuclease 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_004102.1 (GeneID 2237).
Additional Product Information
Flap endonuclease 1 (Fen1) is a member of the XPG/RAD2 endonuclease family. Fen1 functions primarily as an endonuclease that removes 5’-overhangs during base-excision DNA repair and lagging strand DNA synthesis. For these processes Fen1 interacts with PCNA and the 9-1-1 DNA repair complex. Fen1 also possesses 5’ to 3’ exonuclease activity as well as RNase H activity.
Alternate Names
DNase IV; FEN-1; flap endonuclease 1; Flap structure-specific endonuclease 1; hFEN-1; Maturation factor 1; maturation factor-1; MF1; RAD2
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
