Rabbit anti-FMR1/FMRP Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A305-200A maps to a region between residue 582 to 632 of human BL number not found in Peptide Word Document using the numbering given in entry Q86787.1 (GeneID 2332).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to FMR1 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A305-200A-T maps to a region between residue 582 to 632 of human BL number not found in Peptide Word Document using the numbering given in entry Q86787.1 (GeneID 2332).
Additional Product Information
Fragile X mental retardation protein 1 is the product of the gene FMR1, also known as FMRP. This protein binds RNA and is associated with polysomes. FMRP may also be involved in mRNA trafficking from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. A trinucleotide repeat (CGG) in the 5' UTR is normally found at 6-53 copies, but an expansion to 55-230 repeats is the cause of fragile X syndrome. Expansion of the trinucleotide repeat may also cause one form of premature ovarian failure (POF1).
Alternate Names
FMRP; fragile X mental retardation protein 1; FRAXA; POF; POF1; Protein FMR-1; synaptic functional regulator FMR1
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
