Production Procedures
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Gemin4 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00481 maps to a region between residue 1010 and the C-terminus (residue 1058) fo human Gem (nuclear organelle) Associated Protein 4 using the numbering given in entry NP_056536.1 (GeneID 50628).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

Gemin4 is a component of the SMN (survival of motor neurons) complex and also localizes to nuclear focal structures called gems or Gemini of coiled bodies. In the SMN complex Gemin4 interacts with the gemin3 DEAD box protein and several core components of the splicesome that mediates pre-mRNA splicing.

50628
GEMIN4
gem nuclear organelle associated protein 4
P57678
Gem-associated protein 4

Alternate Names

component of gems 4; gem-associated protein 4; gemin-4; HC56; HCAP1; HCC-associated protein 1; HHRF-1; NEDMCR; p97

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with tris-EDTA pH9.0 buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
