Rabbit anti-GTF2B/TFIIB Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A302-885A-T maps to a region between residue 256 and 316 of human General Transcription Factor IIB using the numbering given in entry NP_001505.1 (GeneID 2959).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to GTF2B/TFIIB immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
GTF2B/TFIIB (General transcription factor IIB) is one of the ubiquitous factors required for transcription initiation by RNA polymerase II. GTF2B/TFIIB localizes to the nucleus where it forms a complex (the DAB complex) with transcription factors IID and IIA. Transcription factor IIB serves as a bridge between IID, the factor which initially recognizes the promoter sequence, and RNA polymerase II [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 2959)].
Alternate Names
general transcription factor TFIIB; RNA polymerase II transcription factor IIB; S300-II; TF2B; TFIIB; transcription initiation factor IIB
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
