The epitope recognized by A301-242A maps to a region between residue 469 and 519 of human general transcription factor 3C polypeptide 5 (Transcription factor IIIC 63 kDa subunit) using the numbering given in entry NP_036219.1 (GeneID 9328).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to GTF3C5/TFIIIC63 immobilized on solid support.

General transcription factor 3C polypeptide 5 (GTF3C5/TFIIIC63) is a subunit of the TFIIIC DNA-binding factor required for transcription of tRNA and 5S rRNA genes by RNA polymerase III. Human TFIIIC is composed of six subunits: TFIIIC220, TFIIIC110, TFIIIC102, TFIIIC90 and TFIIIC63, and TFIIIC35. GTF3C5/TFIIIC63 interacts with TFIIIB and may facilitate TFIIIB and RNA polymerase III recruitment in association with TFIIIC102, TFIIIB90, and RPC62.

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
