Rabbit anti-HERC1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A301-903A-T maps to a region between residue 125 and 175 of human hect (homologous to the E6-AP (UBE3A) carboxyl terminus) domain and RCC1 (CHC1)-like domain (RLD) 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_003913.3 (GeneID 8925).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to HERC1 immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
HERC1 (HECT domain and RCC1-like domain-containing protein 1) belongs to the HERC family of ubiquitin ligases. It is involved in membrane traffic via its ability to bind clathrin and its guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) activity for Arf and Rab. HERC1 has been found to interact with TSC2 (tuberous sclerosis complex 2) and may be involved with its destabilization.
Alternate Names
guanine nucleotide exchange factor p532; hect (homologous to the E6-AP (UBE3A) carboxyl terminus) domain and RCC1 (CHC1)-like domain (RLD) 1; HECT domain and RCC1-like domain-containing protein 1; HECT-type E3 ubiquitin transferase HERC1; MDFPMR; p532; p619; probable E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase HERC1
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
