Rabbit anti-HIP1/Huntingtin-interacting Protein 1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A305-176A maps to a region between residue 987 to 1037 of human Huntingtin-interacting protein 1 using the numbering given in entry O00291.5 (GeneID 3092).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to HIP1/Huntingtin-interacting Protein 1 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A305-176A-T maps to a region between residue 987 to 1037 of human Huntingtin-interacting protein 1 using the numbering given in entry O00291.5 (GeneID 3092).
Additional Product Information
The product of gene HIP1, Huntingtin-interacting protein 1, is a membrane-associated protein that functions in clathrin-mediated endocytosis and protein trafficking within the cell. The encoded protein, as its name would imply, binds to huntingtin protein in the brain and this interaction is lost in Huntington's disease [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 3092)].
Alternate Names
HIP-1; HIP-I; huntingtin-interacting protein 1; huntingtin-interacting protein I; ILWEQ; SHON; SHONbeta; SHONgamma
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
