Rabbit anti-hPrp3p Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A302-073A-T maps to a region between residue 100 and 150 of human U4/U6 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein Prp3 using the numbering given in entry NP_004689.1 (GeneID 9129).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to hPrp3p immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
hPrp3p (human pre-mRNA splicing factor 3) was identified as a factor that associated with U4/U6 snRNPs which are components of the splicesome. hPrp3p is homologous to S. cerevisiae splicing factor Prp3p. Mutations in the PRPF3 gene are associated with retinitis pigmentosa-18. It has been determined that mutations in hPrp3p may alter the recognition motif for phosphorylation by casein kinase II (CKII) and that loss of phosphorylation may result in aberrant interactions within the U4/U6 snRNP complex.
Alternate Names
HPRP3; HPRP3P; pre-mRNA-splicing factor 3; PRP3; PRP3 pre-mRNA processing factor 3 homolog; Prp3p; RP18; SNRNP90; U4/U6 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein Prp3; U4/U6 snRNP 90 kDa protein; U4/U6-associated RNA splicing factor
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
