Rabbit anti-JMJD2C Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-885A maps to a region between residue 475 and 525 of human Jumonji Domain Containing 2C using the numbering given in entry NP_055876.2 (GeneID 23081).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to JMJD2C immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-885A-T maps to a region between residue 475 and 525 of human Jumonji Domain Containing 2C using the numbering given in entry NP_055876.2 (GeneID 23081).
Additional Product Information
JMJD2C is a member of the jumonji (jmj) domain containing gene family of histone demethylases that plays a role in chromatin regulation and influences transcriptional activation and suppression. Some recently characterized members of the jmj family include JARID1A/RBP2, JARID1C, JMJD1A, JMJD1B, JMJD1C, JMJD2A, JMJD2C and JMJD2D. JMJD2C, also known as GASC1 (gene amplified in squamous cell carcinoma), has been found to be amplified in several esophageal squamous carcinomas and inhibition of JMJD2C/GASC1 expression results in decreased cellular proliferation.
Alternate Names
GASC1; GASC-1 protein; gene amplified in squamous cell carcinoma 1 protein; JHDM3C; JmjC domain-containing histone demethylation protein 3C; JMJD2C; jumonji domain-containing protein 2C; lysine (K)-specific demethylase 4C; lysine-specific demethylase 4C; TDRD14C; tudor domain containing 14C
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
