Rabbit anti-KIF13A Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A301-077A-T maps to a region between residue 1675 and 1725 of human kinesin family member 13A using the numbering given in entry NP_071396.3 (GeneID 63971). Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to KIF13A immobilized on solid support.

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Additional Product Information
The kinesin superfamily of proteins consists of over forty KIF motor proteins that function in intracellular transport along microtubules. Kinesin activity has been linked to various cellular functions such as vesicle transport, mitotic spindle formation, chromosome segregation, and cytokinesis. Structurally, all kinesins contain a motor domain with microtubule and nucleotide binding sites that utilize ATP to target cargo along microtubule filaments. KIF13A is reported to transport the mannose-6-phosphate receptor from the trans-golgi network to the plasma membrane by associating with beta 1-adaptin in the AP-1 adaptor complex.
Alternate Names
bA500C11.2; homolog of mouse KIF13A mannose-6-phosphate receptor transporter; kinesin-like protein KIF13A; kinesin-like protein RBKIN; RBKIN
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
