Rabbit anti-KIF20A/RAB6KIFL Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-878A-T maps to a region between residue 50 and 100 of human Kinesin Family Member 20A (RAB6 Interacting, Kinesin-Like) using the numbering given in entry NP_005724.1 (GeneID 10112).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to KIF20A/RAB6KIFL immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
The kinesin superfamily of proteins consists of over forty KIF motor proteins that function in intracellular transport along microtubules. Kinesin activity has been linked to various cellular functions such as vesicle transport, mitotic spindle formation, chromosome segregation, chromosome congression, and cytokinesis. Structurally, all kinesins contain a motor domain with microtubule and nucleotide binding sites that utilize ATP to target cargo along microtubule filaments. KIF20A/RAB6KIFL plays a role in transport within the golgi via interaction with Rab6 small GTPase as well as in mitosis and cytokinesis where it localizes to the spindle in anaphase and cleavage furrow and midbody in telophase.
Alternate Names
GG10_2; kinesin-like protein KIF20A; mitotic kinesin-like protein 2; MKLP2; RAB6 interacting, kinesin-like (rabkinesin6); rab6-interacting kinesin-like protein; RAB6KIFL; rabkinesin-6
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
