Production Procedures
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to LAP1B immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00537 maps to a region between residue 275 and 325 of human lamina associated polypeptide 1B using the numbering given in entry NP_056417.2 (GeneID 26092).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

Lamina-associated polypeptide 1B (LAPB1) binds to A- and B-type lamins. It is a single-pass membrane protein that localizes to the inner membrane of the nucleus and may play a role in membrane attachment and the assembly of the nuclear lamina. LAPB1 is also called torsin-1A-interacting protein 1 (TOR1AIP1) due to its association with torsin, an ATPase of the AAA- (adenosine triphosphatases associated with diverse cellular activities) family of proteins.

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
