Rabbit anti-MAML2 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-681A-T maps to a region between residue 250 and 300 of human Mastermind-Like 2 using the numbering given in entry AAK93831.1 (GeneID 84441).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to MAML2 immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
There are 3 MAML (mastermind-like) proteins in mammals (MAML1-3). MAML2 is a critical coactivator for NOTCH signaling. MAML2 associates with NOTCH and CSL in a ternary complex and functions to activate transcription of HES and hairy-related basic helix-loop-helix transcription factors. MAML2 has been identified in a chromosomal rearrangement and fusion with MECT1 in mucoepidermoid carcinomas, secondary acute myeloid leukemia, hidradenomas, and myelodysplastic syndrome. MECT1 is a CREB regulator, and when fused with the transactivational domain of MAML2, imparts constitutive activation of CREB-dependent transcription that may promote oncogenesis.
Alternate Names
MAM2; mam-2; MAM3; MAM-3; mastermind-like 2; mastermind-like protein 2; MLL-MAML2
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
