Rabbit anti-MOF/MYST1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-992A maps to a region between residue 1 and 50 of human males absent on the first (MYST histone acetyltransferase 1) using the numbering given in entry BAB13924.1 (GeneID 84148).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to MOF/MYST1 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-992A-T maps to a region between residue 1 and 50 of human males absent on the first (MYST histone acetyltransferase 1) using the numbering given in entry BAB13924.1 (GeneID 84148).
Additional Product Information
MOF is a member of the MYST family of histone acetyltransferases (HAT). MOF has been shown to be required for histone H4 lysine K16-specific acetylation. MOF interacts with ATM (ataxia-telangiectasia-mutated) and may participate in the activation of ATM in response to DNA damage.
Alternate Names
histone acetyltransferase KAT8; histone acetyltransferase MYST1; hMOF; K(lysine) acetyltransferase 8; Lysine acetyltransferase 8; MOF; MOZ, YBF2/SAS3, SAS2 and TIP60 protein 1; MYST histone acetyltransferase 1; MYST1; MYST-1; ortholog of Drosophila males absent on the first (MOF); probable histone acetyltransferase MYST1; ZC2HC8
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
