Rabbit anti-MSH2 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-451A maps to a region between residues 1 and 50 of human mutS homolog 2 using the numbering given in Swiss-Prot entry P43246 (GeneID 4436).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to MSH2 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-451A-T maps to a region between residues 1 and 50 of human mutS homolog 2 using the numbering given in Swiss-Prot entry P43246 (GeneID 4436).
Additional Product Information
MSH2 is an integral component of the DNA mismatch repair (MMR) system that functions to recognize aberrant structures and signals for the repair of single base mismatches or loops in replicated DNA. MSH2 has also been demonstrated to function as an anti-recombinase and may play a role in negatively regulating DNA repair. MSH2 can heterodimerize with MSH3 or MSH6. Mutations in MSH2 are linked to hereditary nonpolyposis colon cancer (HNPCC).
Alternate Names
COCA1; DNA mismatch repair protein Msh2; FCC1; hMSH2; HNPCC; HNPCC1; LCFS2; mutS homolog 2, colon cancer, nonpolyposis type 1; MutS protein homolog 2
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
