Rabbit anti-MYT1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A302-424A maps to a region between residue 449 and 499 of human membrane associated tyrosine/threonine 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_004194.3 (GeneID 9088).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to MYT1 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A302-424A-T maps to a region between residue 449 and 499 of human membrane associated tyrosine/threonine 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_004194.3 (GeneID 9088).
Additional Product Information
MYT1 (membrane associated tyrosine/threonine protein kinase 1) is is a member of the serine/threonine protein kinase family. This kinase preferentially phosphorylates and inactivates cell division cycle 2 protein (CDC2), and thus negatively regulates cell cycle G2/M transition. MYT is associated with the membrane throughout the cell cycle, and its activity is highly regulated during the cell cycle. Protein kinases AKT1/PKB and PLK (Polo-like kinase) have been shown to phosphorylate and regulate the activity of MYT1 [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (GeneID:9088)].
Alternate Names
membrane-associated tyrosine- and threonine-specific cdc2-inhibitory kinase; MYT1; myt1 kinase; PPP1R126; protein phosphatase 1, regulatory subunit 126
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
