Production Procedures
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to NELFA immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00383 maps to a region between residue 499 and 549 of human negative elongation factor A using the numbering given in entry BAB18651.1 (GeneID 7469).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

NELFA (negative elongation factor A) is one of four subunits that make up the NELF transcription elongation factor. The four subunits of NELF are NELF A (WHSC2), NELFB, either NELFC or NELFD, and NELFE. NELF, along with DRB sensitivity-inducing factor (DSIF), functions to cause transcriptional pausing of RNA polymerase II. NELFA may play a role in Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome (WHS).

Alternate Names

negative elongation factor A; NELF-A; P/OKcl.15; WHSC2; wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome candidate 2 protein

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
