Production Procedures
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to NELFE immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A301-913A maps to a region between residue 75 and 125 of human negative elongation factor polypeptide E using the numbering given in entry NP_002895.3 (GeneID 7936).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to NELFE immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A301-913A-T maps to a region between residue 75 and 125 of human negative elongation factor polypeptide E using the numbering given in entry NP_002895.3 (GeneID 7936).

Additional Product Information

NELFE (negative elongation factor E) is one of four subunits that make up the NELF transcription elongation factor. The four subunits of NELF are NELF A (WHSC2), NELFB, either NELFC or NELFD, and NELFE. NELF, along with DRB sensitivity-inducing factor (DSIF), functions to cause transcriptional pausing of RNA polymerase II. NELF-E is an RNA-binding protein. The RNA binding activity of NELF-E is critical to the function of NELF.

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
