Rabbit anti-NIPBL Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A301-779A maps to a region between residue 1025 and 1075 of human Nipped-B-like using the numbering given in entry NP_597677.2 (GeneID 25836).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to NIPBL immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A301-779A-T maps to a region between residue 1025 and 1075 of human Nipped-B-like using the numbering given in entry NP_597677.2 (GeneID 25836).
Additional Product Information
The NIPBL (Nipped B-like) gene was originally identified as a gene mutated in individuals with Cornelia de Lange syndrome (CdLS), a heterogenous developmental disorder associated with multiple anatomical malformations. The NIPBL protein product is also referred to as delangin. It has substantial homology to the D. melanogaster Nipped-B protein which is related to a family of chromosomal adherins that plays a role in sister chromatid adhesion, chromosome condensation, and DNA repair. A study of metaphase spreads from individuals positive and negative for NIPBL mutations revealed an association between NIPBL mutations and precocious sister chromatid separation. This result suggests a function for NIPBL that is similar to its homolog in drosophila.
Alternate Names
CDLS; CDLS1; delangin; IDN3; IDN3-B; Nipped-B homolog; nipped-B-like protein; Scc2; SCC2 homolog; sister chromatid cohesion 2 homolog
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
