The epitope recognized by A301-283A-T maps to a region between residue 543 and 593 of human transcription repressor p66 beta component of the MeCP1 complex (GATA zinc finger domain containing 2B) using the numbering given in entry NP_065750.1 (GeneID 57459).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to p66beta/GATAD2B immobilized on solid support.

P66beta/GATAD2B interacts with MBD2 (methyl-CpG-binding domain 2) and MBD3 (methyl-CpG-binding domain 3) and participates in transcriptional repression in association with the MBD2/NuRD and MBD3/NuRD histone deacetylase complexes. P66beta/GATAD2B is SUMOylated in vivo and its repressive activity has been shown to be enhanced by SUMOylation.

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
