Rabbit anti-Paf1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-173A-T maps to a region between residues 475 and 525 of human RNA Polymerase Associated Factor using the numbering given in TrEMBL entry Q9NUU9 (GeneID 54623).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Paf1 immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
Paf1 is a component of the Paf1 complex that was originally identified in yeast as an RNA-polymerase II (RNAP II)-associated complex. The Paf1 complex functions in multiple aspects of gene expression. Paf1 has been shown to play roles in transcript elongation, histone H2B monoubiquitination, H3 methylation, chromatin remodeling, mRNA 3’-end processing, and the coupling of transcriptional and posttranscriptional events.
Alternate Names
F23149_1; hPAF1; Paf1, RNA polymerase II associated factor, homolog; pancreatic differentiation protein 2; PD2; RNA polymerase II-associated factor 1 homolog
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
