Production Procedures
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to phosphorylation at Ser 461 of XRCC1 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A300-147A maps to a region of surrounding residue Ser 416 of human X-ray Repair Complementing protein 1 using the numbering given in SwissProt entry P18887 (GeneID 7515).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

USA

Additional Product Information

X-ray repair cross-complementing protein 1 (XRCC1) has been identified as a gene that partially rescues a DNA repair defect and therefore plays a role in efficient repair of single-stranded breaks in DNA damage caused by ionizing radiation. XRCC1 interacts with human polynucleotide kinase, DNA polymerase-beta, and DNA ligase III in a multiprotein complex to execute the function of DNA repair.

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
