Production Procedures
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to PIMT immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A304-922A maps to a region between residue 803 to 853 of human PRIP-Interacting Protein with Methyltransferase Domain using the numbering given in entry NP_079107.5 (GeneID 96764).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

PIMT, also known as TGS1, was originally identified in yeast as a protein involved in RNA cap trimethylation and the transfer of methyl from S-adenosylmethionine to m7GTP and m7GDP.

Alternate Names

cap-specific guanine-N2 methyltransferase; CLL-associated antigen KW-2; hepatocellular carcinoma-associated antigen 137; NCOA6IP; nuclear receptor coactivator 6-interacting protein; PIMT; PIPMT; PRIP-interacting protein with methyltransferase motif; trimethylguanosine synthase

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
