Additional Product Information
Protein arginine methylation is a form of post-translational modification that is catalyzed by protein arginine methyltransferases (PRMTs). HMGA1a (high mobility group A) has been identified as a substrate of PRMT6. The identification of HMGA1 as a substrate suggests that PRMT6 is involved in chromatin structure organization and gene regulation.
Alternate Names
heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein methyltransferase-like protein 6; histone-arginine N-methyltransferase PRMT6; HMT1 hnRNP methyltransferase-like 6; HRMT1L6; protein arginine N-methyltransferase 6
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
