Rabbit anti-Rad6 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-281A maps to the N-terminus of human ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2A using the numbering given in Swiss-Prot entry P49459 (GeneID 7319).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Rad6 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-281A-T maps to the N-terminus of human ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2A using the numbering given in Swiss-Prot entry P49459 (GeneID 7319).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Additional Product Information
Rad 6, also known as Ubiquitin conjugating enzyme E2A, is an E2 enzyme of the three step ubiquitination pathway. Targeting of proteins by ubiquitination occurs in three main steps that involve the activation of ubiquitin by E1 enzymes, the carrying of ubiquitin to the target protein by E2 enzymes, and the ligation of ubiquitin to the target protein by E3 enzymes. Ubiquitination provides an important post-translational means to regulate protein abundance and activity. Rad6 has been demonstrated to be important to DNA damage repair. Mutations in Rad6 cause an X-linked mental retardation syndrome.
Alternate Names
E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme A; HHR6A; HR6A; MRXS30; MRXSN; RAD6 homolog A; RAD6A; UBC2; ubiquitin carrier protein A; ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 A; ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2A; ubiquitin-protein ligase A
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
