Rabbit anti-RBM5 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A302-228A maps to a region between residue 765 and 815 of human RNA binding motif protein 5 using the numbering given in entry NP_005769.1 (GeneID 10181).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to RBM5 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A302-228A-T maps to a region between residue 765 and 815 of human RNA binding motif protein 5 using the numbering given in entry NP_005769.1 (GeneID 10181).
Additional Product Information
RNA-binding motif protein 5 (RBM5) is also known as LUCA-15. The RBM5 gene is located within a region highly susceptible to deletions in lung cancer and is implicated to be a tumor suppressor. RBM5 bears two RRM domains, one RanBP2-type zinc finger, one C2H2-type zinc finger, and a G-patch domain. It has been found to be a component of the spliceosome, a complex that regulates alternative splicing and is involved in the regulation of proliferation and apoptosis.
Alternate Names
G15; H37; LUCA15; Protein G15; putative tumor suppressor LUCA15; renal carcinoma antigen NY-REN-9; RMB5; RNA-binding motif protein 5; RNA-binding protein 5
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
