Rabbit anti-REST Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-540A maps to a region between residue 1050 and the C-terminus (residue 1097) of human RE1-silencing transcription factor using the numbering given in entry NP_005603.2 (GeneID 5978).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to REST immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-540A-T maps to a region between residue 1050 and the C-terminus (residue 1097) of human RE1-silencing transcription factor using the numbering given in entry NP_005603.2 (GeneID 5978).
Additional Product Information
RE1-Silencing Transcription Factor (REST) is a transcriptional repressor that silences neuronal gene expression in non-neuronal cells by binding to the neuron-restrictive silencer element (NRSE). REST is a Kruppel-type zinc finger transcription factor that mediates repression through its interaction with the mSin3 and CoREST corepressors and the HDAC1 and HDAC2 histone deacetylases.
Alternate Names
DFNA27; GINGF5; HGF5; neural-restrictive silencer factor; neuron restrictive silencer factor; NRSF; RE1-silencing transcription factor; repressor binding to the X2 box; WT6; X2 box repressor; XBR
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
